Founded in 1791 and located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Girard-Perregaux is one of the oldest Fine Watchmaking manufacturers still in operation. Its history is dotted with exceptional creations mingling techniques and aesthetics.

In 1965, GIRARD-PERREGAUX developed & manufactured the first high-frequency mechanical movement, with a balance making 36,000 vibrations per hour. This GIRARD-PERREGAUX Gyromatic High Frequency is a well-preserved testimony of one of the company's veritable technical breakthroughs.

What’s On Offer 

This is a stunning offering from Girard-Perregaux, the circular ivory satin dial boasts applied baton hour markers along with graceful baton hands and a framed day/date function at 3 o'clock which is in French! The applied GP logo is underwritten with the brand signature and ‘Gyromatic’ at 12 o’clock, whilst ‘high frequency’ is at 6 o’clock. All of the dial furniture is in pristine condition and the tonneau case shows only light signs of wear, nothing notable for sure. There is a crack in the plexiglass which will be replaced by our watchmaker before it is sold! The inner case back is engraved ‘Girard-Perregaux Swiss’

The sizeable dimensions of this watch look great on the wrist and its elegant lines and lightweight feel make it super comfortable. With the height of sophistication and understated luxury, this is a superb watch from a very prestigious watchmaker.
