Lovely Vintage 60s Girard Perregaux Alarm with Sunburst Silver Dial

Girard-Perregaux, a renowned Swiss watchmaker, boasts a rich history that dates back to 1791. Founded by Jean-François Bautte in Geneva, the company initially specialized in crafting high-quality pocket watches. However, it was not until 1856 when Constant Girard married Marie Perregaux that the brand we know today was born. Under the leadership of Constant Girard and his son-in-law Léon Perregaux, Girard-Perregaux flourished and began producing exceptional timepieces.

This is an exceptional vintage Girard Perregaux with a mechanical alarm function dating to the 1960s. Analysing the watch it has signs of wear due to its age but is overall, in very good condition. It has an excellent silver dial tied in with chrome pin hour markers and hands as well as the unique alarm window situated at 6 o'clock.

The stainless steel case sits at 34mm making a nice snug size, light scratching and blemishes can be seen in places around the watch but still it has a nice shine to it. Internally there is the calibre 1475 movement with 17 jewels.
