A Charming Omega Seamaster Calendar, Model Ref: 2757-1 SC, with a Beautiful Vintage Dial Boasting Gilt Furniture Including Stylish Dauphine Hands, c.1954
The Omega Seamaster, introduced in 1948, is the brand’s longest-running line and was designed to blend elegance with robust water resistance. Inspired by watches Omega supplied to the British military during WWII, the Seamaster became a trusted companion for divers, sailors, and adventurers. Its innovations, including the O-ring gasket, ensured reliability in challenging conditions. Over the decades, it has evolved into an icon, most famously associated with James Bond, while remaining a benchmark in professional dive watches.
What's on Offer
A firm favourite in the VWS office - you cannot go wrong with vintage Omega and a vintage Seamaster is always special!
We are delighted to present this elegant vintage Omega Seamaster Calendar, reference 2757-1 SC, dating to circa 1954.
Housed in a stainless steel case, it boasts a refined deep ivory dial with applied gilt arrowhead hour markers, dauphine hands, and a framed date aperture at 6 o’clock, a nice design detail and of course offering functionality. Although there is a small blemish on the dial right at the very edge of the date window, to the left, it does not catch the eye until you look closely at it through a magnifier! It certainly does not look displeasing to the eye but we like to point out these things to be completely transparent.
Powered by Omega’s calibre 355 - an automatic movement, this Seamaster remains in excellent condition with a pleasing warm patina. The watch having just returned from a complete overhaul at the watchmakers, it is running within a 2-3 seconds per day with very strong amplitude and comes with our 12 months warranty for your added protection and peace of mind.
Paired with a black leather strap, it’s a classic mid-century Omega that wears beautifully on the wrist.
