Founded in 1972, Cabot Watch Company (CWC) was established specifically to supply the British Ministry of Defence after Hamilton ceased production of military watches. By the mid-1970s, the CWC W10 had become the standard issue wristwatch for the British Army, continuing the lineage of iconic military timepieces such as the Dirty Dozen. Built to exacting MOD specifications, the W10 was designed to withstand the demands of military service, with outstanding legibility, rugged reliability and a no-nonsense design that remains instantly recognisable today.

What's on Offer

This original CWC W10 military wristwatch dates to around 1976 and represents one of Britain's most iconic issued military timepieces. Housed in a 36mm stainless steel tonneau case, it features the classic matte black dial with luminous Arabic numerals, sword hands and the unmistakable Broad Arrow symbol denoting British government property. The military engravings remain crisp on the caseback, including the W10 issue code, NATO Stock Number and issue year, confirming its provenance as a genuine Ministry of Defence-issued watch. Inside beats the dependable 17-jewel ETA 2750 manual-wind movement, offering an impressive 50-hour power reserve. Fitted to a khaki NATO-style strap, this is an honest, highly collectable example of the watch that served generations of British soldiers throughout the 1970s.

Presented in excellent vintage condition, the stainless steel case shows only light signs of military service, while the dial remains clean and highly legible with attractive ageing to the luminous material. The military caseback engravings are sharp and well preserved, and the watch is supplied with a 12-month warranty.
