Bulova, founded in New York in 1875 by Joseph Bulova, quickly became one of America’s most innovative watchmakers. The brand pioneered mass production in watchmaking and gained fame for its precision timekeeping, even establishing an observatory in the 1920s to improve accuracy. Bulova is also known for the world’s first television commercial in 1941 and for its groundbreaking Accutron tuning-fork technology, adopted by NASA and the U.S. military. Today, Bulova remains celebrated for innovation, reliability, and iconic design.

What's on Offer

This striking tonneau-cased Bulova Accutron Spaceview is a brilliant example of one of the most iconic electronic watches ever made. Originally born from dealer display models that showcased Bulova’s revolutionary tuning-fork technology, the Spaceview soon gained such cult demand that Bulova began producing consumer versions—like this wonderfully preserved piece.

This example features the fully exposed Calibre 214 tuning-fork movement, the heart of the Spaceview concept, complete with its correct printed crystal and bright green circuit bridge. The brushed tonneau case has aged beautifully with only light signs of wear, and the original hands and chapter ring remain sharp and clean. At 35.85mm, it wears with that unmistakable 1970s futurist confidence.

Fitted to a stainless steel expander bracelet and protected by a domed plexiglass crystal, this Spaceview has a warm, honest vintage presence that collectors love. With tuning-fork watches now firmly recognised as a milestone in horological history, this early-style Spaceview is not just visually captivating — it’s an important piece of electronic watch evolution.

A wonderfully charismatic example of a truly groundbreaking watch. Just back after a complete overhaul by a specialist watchmaker!
