Dennison
The Dennison Watch Case Company was a prolific British manufacturer founded in 1874 by Aaron Lufkin Dennison, who is often called the father of American watchmaking. Based in Birmingham, the company became the primary supplier of high-quality cases for prestigious brands like Rolex, Omega, and Smiths, particularly during the mid-20th century when high import duties on precious metals made local casing necessary. While the original factory closed in the 1960s, the brand was recently revived as a modern watchmaker, releasing contemporary collections that feature ultra-thin profiles and natural stone dials. Today, the name Dennison remains highly respected among vintage collectors for its historical role in housing some of the world's most significant movements and for its contribution to British industrial horology.
