Cyma, founded in 1862 in Switzerland, has a notable history in military watchmaking, especially during World War II. The brand supplied robust, reliable timepieces to British and Commonwealth forces under the “Dirty Dozen” and ATP (Army Trade Pattern) programs. Known for their precision and durability, Cyma military watches featured clear dials, luminous hands, and sturdy cases designed for harsh conditions. Today, these vintage models are highly sought after by collectors for their historical value and utilitarian charm.

What's on Offer

We’re proud to be one of the most active and trusted sources for Dirty Dozen watches in the UK—if not in all of Europe. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of handling many of these iconic military timepieces, and the Cyma stands out as a personal favourite, not least because it’s the largest of the group.

This particular example is in superb original condition, with its luminous material beautifully aged and intact. It features all the classic hallmarks of a Dirty Dozen watch: the recessed sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock, lume-filled pencil hands, an outer minute track, and of course, the military broad arrow—or pheon—marking it as property of the Ministry of Defence. The caseback also bears the correct military engravings and issue numbers.

A rare and highly collectible piece, this Cyma is sure to capture the attention of both military watch collectors and vintage enthusiasts alike.
