Many thanks,

An icon amongst collectors, this beautiful blue c.1980 Tudor Submariner Reference 9411/0 has been impressively well preserved and remains in excellent condition having matured into a vintage piece. Beautiful caramel patina tone to the dial is seen most clearly in the famous ‘Snowflake’ hands.

Originally designed upon a request from the French Navy (for whom Tudor was manufacturing these watches throughout the 70’s) for a legible underwater dial, the ‘snowflake’ hands have become an extremely collectable variation to the classic Tudor Submariner, with this example being no exception. Its square hour index markers have aged to inherit a light, even caramel tone which, together with the deep blue dial and lighter bezel, creates a stunning, clean dial full of vintage character. Both of the snowflake hands are in great condition, with no tarnishing or cosmetic damage visible on either, and the sharp stainless steel edging is still shiny. The date eye at 3 O’clock is easily legible through the pristine Cyclops glass and is easily adjusted with the quick-set date function through the Rolex crown. There is evidence of a very minor repair on the dial between the 11 and 12-hour index markers, however this is only visible upon closer inspection. The Reference 9411/0 Tudor Submariner ‘Snowflakes’ were produced between the years 1975-1983, with this particular example having been produced in 1980, denoted by the serial number (9359xx).

Tudor’s sister company, Rolex, feature their timeless oyster case in this watch, complete with their name and crown on the case back and crown, but with Tudor’s shield on the bracelet clasp. The case remains true to its original condition, appearing to have seen no repair or polishing since its production. The case shows some signs of very light cosmetic wear and minor marking around the edges. The bidirectional rotating bezel is in excellent condition and has faded slightly to a paler blue tone which compliments the stainless steel case and deep blue dial excellently.

Fully original watch with no case polishing and/or significant repair work.
