This particular watch is a fantastic example of a reference 16220 Datejust in a stainless steel case and on an Oyster bracelet. The watch was first sold new in Nov. 1989 to a customer in the UK by a UK Rolex AD. The watch serial number L334xxx corroborates this, as does all the paperwork. 

It is the nicest Datejust that we have owned after a new one, as it is in exceptional condition! 

The watch has had one very caring owner from new and when we purchased the watch we found it to be one of the most complete sets we have ever seen. The watch comes as you will see from the photo’s, both inner and outer Rolex boxes. All its booklets and manuals, the original purchase receipt, and original chronometer certificate/warranty. 

With the above paperwork, there are also three further Rolex invoices from various dates in 1996, 2007 and most recently in 2012. This is what you call a pampered watch with a true service history with no expense spared!

As you would expect after such care, the watch looks and feels almost like new as it looks not to have been worn very much since it’s last visit to Rolex.   

It looks stunning on the black dial and Oyster bracelet.   

We think you will be hard pressed to find one in better condition or with a service record like it at this price point! As you well know it's all about condition and it doesn't get much better than this!
