Vintage Bulova with a Lovely Gradient Blue Dial and 36mm Tonneau Style Case Dating to 1973

Bulova, a prominent American watch brand, has a rich history that dates back to its founding in 1875 by Joseph Bulova, an immigrant from Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic). Joseph Bulova opened a small jewellery shop in New York City, marking the beginning of the Bulova brand. The store quickly gained a reputation for quality and innovation in watchmaking. Bulova opened its first manufacturing plant in Biel, Switzerland, a hub for watchmaking excellence. This move allowed Bulova to combine Swiss craftsmanship with American innovation.

Dating back to 1973, this Bulova Accutron has stood the test of time as its condition is excellent. The unique tonneau-style case is 36mm and presents itself in almost new condition with only very light blemishes and an excellent brushed steel finish. The only visible but light signs of wear can be seen on the side and caseback of the watch which is completely normal for a watch this age.

The centrepiece of this watch is the gradient dial, starting off light blue and fading to very dark blue which is also is excellent condition. Astonishingly the white hour and track markers are also in very good condition and add a lovely extra layer to this beautiful watch.
