Many thanks,

This is a superb and rare Omega Seamaster De Ville dress watch, reference 165.007, dating to circa 1966.

Case and Crown

The stainless steel cased watch has a beautifully crisp ‘Hippocampus’ and Seamaster logo on the back with an Omega signed crown.

The case and crown are both in excellent condition with no major marks or blemishes.

Dial, Hands and Glass

The watch has a stunning Omega signed silver dial with slender, elegant, applied baton hour markers and a double baton at 12 o’clock. All the markers are still a very rich and deep black in colour as is the seconds’ hand. The hour and minute hands are guilt “stick” style with black inlays.

The dial, hands and original Omega signed Armoured Hesalite glass are all in brilliant condition with no significant visual blemishes.

Movement

Powering this watch is the accurate and reliable Calibre 711 movement with 24 jewels, as you would expect from an Omega, is running very well and keeping good time. The movement number is 2363**** and dates the watch to circa 1966. It is said that the 71x movements were amongst the slimmest ever produced by Omega at that time.

The watch will be serviced prior to being dispatched and will come with a 6 months guarantee.

Bracelet/Strap

The watch comes on a new tan brown leather strap with a stainless steel pin buckle.

Box and Papers

There is no box with this watch but it does come with a previous purchase invoice from 2000.

A detailed invoice together with a written warranty will be provided at the time of sale. It can also be supplied with our exclusive, genuine leather.

In Conclusion

This is an exceptional looking Omega De Ville dating to the mid 1960’s and has retained its classic great looks. It is in excellent condition and the Calibre 711 movement is running strong and keeping good time. The size and appearance of the case means it would sit well either as a gents or a ladies timepiece.
