In 1969, at a press conference held on January 10th, Zenith announced the imminent launch of the first fully integrated, high-frequency, automatic chronograph movement. Codenamed 3019 PHC, this movement was renamed “El Primero”, which means “the first” in Spanish.
What’s On Offer
The high-frequency El Primero 21 - 1/100th chronograph in a 44mm titanium DEFY case, paired with a textured blue rubber Zenith strap and deployant clasp.
Its blue automatic movement features two independent high-frequency escapements beating at 50Hz for the chronograph function and 5Hz for timekeeping.
Encapsulated underneath Sapphire crystal glass, the blue skeleton dial is equipped with Rhodium-plated hands and index hour markers, also with the display back so you can when held up to the light see right through parts of the movement.
1/100th of a second Chronograph: - Central chronograph hand that makes one turn each second - 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock - 60-second counter at 6 o'clock - Chronograph power-reserve indication at 12 o'clock.
This watch is in superb order and is supplied with its original box and papers, a real head-turner on the wrist! It had to be prised off the boss's wrist as he has been wearing this beauty through the summer and will regret letting it go for sure but sadly he can't keep everything we buy!
