A fantastic gold plated Zenith Wristwatch. This watch measures 35mm across without, the original Zenith signed crown and 37mm including it!

The dial which is in overall great condition as can be seen from the photographs, is signed "Zenith, Swiss Made" as well as the original signed crown and steel back!

There is a date aperture between 4 and 5 o clock which is very typical of the Zenith design and has almost become there signature design/style.

The caseback reads "Gold Electroplated Bezel - Surf Stainless Steel Back" and shows the watch model reference of "20-1290-365".

There is no wear to the gold plating which is great for a watch of this age, but there are a couple of small blemishes on the case which we have tried to magnify and show in our photographs. The original glass had some light scratches to it again nothing that detracts from the watch but we have still lightly polished this as you will no doubt see from the close up photographs it now looks as it should.

The inside caseback reads "Zenith Swiss". The movement reads "Zenith Swiss Made (Seventeen) 17 Jewels" and is a signed caliber "2572C" which is a very reliable mechanical hand winding movement with sweep centre second and quickset date.

The watch winds, sets and works properly and is keeping good time although it has not been serviced by us but can be serviced at additional cost and then we can also give it our usual guarantee, but to keep costs down we have not done this straight away.

The watch comes on a very nice brown, grain, Hirsch Dakota leather band which is water resistant and on a gold plated pin buckle.

We believe this particular watch dates to the early 1970's.

All in all a simple, elegant watch of superb quality which is typical of all Zenith watches as many collectors and experts alike will tell you.
