A quite rare Eterna WWW WWII military watch with the Calibre 520H mechanical hand wind movement. These particular watches were designed specifically for forces personnel in the Second World War and Eterna were one of the few manufacturers that were suppliers to the MOD as well as the Czech military.

This particular watch is in excellent overall condition and has the typical design features that were specified to them in the design.

Case and Crown
This is the original matt stainless steel case and crown with a screw in back. The back is etched with the correct markings of WWW P. 854 - 3109182 and the arrow logo.

Overall the case is in very good condition with only some very small blemishes, which is far better than you would expect for a military issue watch of this age.

Dial, Hands and Glass
The watch has the clear Eterna signed matt dial with the arrow logo between the centre and 12 o’clock position and white Arabic numerals at the hour positions with accompanying small luminous dots. The dial has the sub seconds display at the 6 o’clock position. The baton hour and minute hands have long solid luminous white inlays.

The dial, hands and plastic glass are all in very good condition for a 1940’s watch.

This watch has the Calibre 520H mechanical hand wind movement with 15 jewels which, as with all military watches, is well known for its resilience and good time keeping. The 520H was the first Eterna calibre made for gents wrist watched. This particular movement is numbered 309****.

The movement is running strong as you would expect for a recently serviced watch that will come with a 12 months guarantee.

The watch comes on a new black nylon strap with matt stainless steel pin buckle.

Box and Papers
There are no original papers or box with this watch however it will be supplied in our exclusive, genuine leather, VWS watch case.A detailed invoice together with any warranty will be provided at the time of sale.

In Conclusion
This is a top example of the Eterna WWW WWII military watch which for a watch dating to the 1940’s is in excellent condition. The overall appearance is striking in its simplicity but retains its classic military style features. The WWW standing means this is an ideal watch for a person who likes an active outdoor life but can be worn equally as well as a reliable every day watch. The Eterna WWW is one of the more rare versions and I am sure this will not be available for long.
