With its origins in the S/el (Sports/elegance), the Link collection served as a critical bridge between the dive watches and chronographs that dominated the TAG Heuer catalogues in the last two decades of the 20th century the new chronograph collections that TAG Heuer would develop for the 21st (which focused on the legendary Carrera collection). But more than serving as an interim bridge between these two eras, with its elegant styling and innovative movements, the Link collection established itself as an important part of the TAG Heuer catalogue, continuing to this day as the most elegant of the TAG Heuer collections. In the late 1980s, TAG Heuer saw that its watches could combine sports features with elegant designs, and this approach has been proven to be popular to this day.

What’s On Offer 

This handsome Tag Link and been meticulously taken care of and is in excellent pre-owned condition with barely any signs of wear. The silver pinstripe textured dial is pristine with applied baton hour markers and lume-filled hands as well as a sub-seconds dial that houses a rather subtle date aperture. The Tag Heuer applied emblem completes the dial which is encapsulated underneath sapphire crystal which is in turn encased in stainless steel. The polished steel bezel is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear and the bracelet and lugs which have a brushed satin finish are also in fantastic shape. At 40mm this watch is of meaty proportions and looks well on the wrist but wears comfortably and is not too heavy. The skeleton caseback reveals the watch is powered by the TAG Heuer Calibre 6. This design detail looks well and adds a little opulence to this watch. A luxurious sports watch, this would please any TAG Heuer fan.
