Launched in 1956 the Rolex Day-Date was the first watch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full. It was however rather a meaty watch due to the complexity of the motion and was replaced within 12 months by the 6611.

This 2022 unworn Rolex DayDate is absolutely breathtaking in the flesh - a real head-turner! A now discontinued reference, the ice blue Roman quadrant dial is utterly beautiful and shines differently in every light - I really love this watch, can you tell?

The dial is most certainly the jewel in the crown of this watch and is encapsulated beautifully under sapphire Crystal, encased in platinum and fitted to the solid platinum 'President' bracelet, with concealed clasp, and powered by Rolex's Day-Date Calibre 3255 movement, with 70-hour power reserve, waterproof to 100m.

An unworn 2022 piece, this watch is sold with its original box and papers and the remainder of its 5-year Rolex original warranty.

The reference is now discontinued so it is definitely the right time to purchase, and would potentially make a great investment as we know, prices of discontinued models creep up as numbers of full sets dwindle.
