A Stunning Rolex Datejust in 18k Gold with a Beautiful Champagne Dial, Dated c.1983 with 18k Gold Jubilee Bracelet, Applied Gold Radial "Flip" Arabic Numbers and Date Cyclops at 3 o'clock. 
In 1931, Rolex launched the Oyster Perpetual, equipped with an automatic movement. In 1945, Hans Wilsdorf revolutionised the watch industry and integrated a new, simple but important feature: a display of the date. Under reference 4467, the Rolex Datejust was born - the first self‑winding wrist chronometer to indicate the date in a window on the dial. A watch of great distinction, the Datejust was equipped with a Jubilee bracelet created especially for it along with a fluted bezel, making it immediately recognisable as a Rolex.

The Jubilee Dial was introduced to celebrate Rolex' 80th anniversary and is characterized by a monogrammed repetitive 'ROLEX' pattern, which takes up the entirety of the dial. At times, it will have just the watch's name on it (Datejust, for example), while some watches - such as this one -  would have the standard SCOC “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” text above 6 o'clock.

An absolutely stunning Datejust in 18k gold with a beautiful champagne, Jubilee Dial. Although the Jubilee design is not to everyone's taste, we think this is a really nice example as it is very subtle and looks fabulous against the opulence of the gold. The applied Arabic numerals in gold give this dial a unique aesthetic with the radial flip on 4 to 8 o'clock and the Rolex crown at 12. Of course, as the name would suggest, there is a date aperture at 3 which completes a beautiful dial that is encapsulated in sapphire crystal with a charming fluted bezel in 18k gold with matching case and lugs which are in remarkably good condition with minute signs of normal wear. The watch is paired with an 18k gold Rolex signed Jubilee bracelet. A simply delightful gold dress watch from a revered watchmaker that will bring the wearer many years of joy.
