The Seamaster is the longest-running product line still produced by Omega. It was introduced in 1948 and was based upon designs made for the British Royal Navy towards the end of World War II. The original Seamaster's key feature was an O-ring gasket used to provide its waterproof seal.
What’s On Offer
This vintage Omega Seamaster Calendar is the quintessential vintage dress watch with elegant styling, subtle proportions and a luxurious gold-capped finish. The 'quilted' or 'honeycomb' textured dial is in beautiful vintage condition with only the smallest amount of discolouration, and showcases the faceted applied hour indices and dauphine hands with an Onyx insert, perfectly.
The gold-trimmed date aperture sits discreetly at 3 o'clock and a central seconds hand glides effortlessly around the dial. There is an applied Omega motif at 12 o'clock and the Seamaster signature sits at 6 o'clock.
The gold-capped case is well preserved with just light signs of wear, the caseback displays the Seamaster Hippocampus emblem and there is also an engraving denoting this watch being given to an employee of Dunlop for long service which is a rather appealing detail - after all, each vintage watch has its own story to tell.
This is a really attractive watch that can be worn every day, it will transition seamlessly from casual wear to formal occasions easily. Another timeless piece from Omega which will simply never go out of style.
