Omega Seamaster 600 Geneve - Model Ref.137.001 - c.1964 - Textured Dial
Omega Seamaster 600 Geneve Reference 137.001 c.1964 with a Stunning Textured Dial, Straight Lugs and the Caliber 601 movement.
The Seamaster is the longest-running product line still produced by Omega. It was introduced in 1948 and was loosely based upon designs made for the British Royal Navy towards the end of World War II. The original Seamaster's key feature was an O-ring gasket used to provide its waterproof seal.
What's on offer
This stunning Seamaster 600 is powered by the absolute engines that are the Omega Calibre 601 movements, adjusted to 2 positions. These movements are frequently described as personal favourites by many keen horologists.
This 1964 Omega is a timeless and beautiful design, featuring a slim stainless steel case with elegant straight lugs and a beautifully textured dial. There is an impressive depth to the dial which is furnished with raised gold hour batons, and corresponding slim gold sword hands.
The case is in fantastic condition, with only microscopic markings on the lugs and the case edge on the right side. There is scarcely any wear to speak of on the case back where you will find the synonymous Seamaster Hippocampus emblem.
