A beautiful vintage Omega dress watch in a 9k solid yellow gold ALD case and dating to circa 1956.

Case and Crown

Solid 9k gold ALD case with solid bezel, push on, hallmarked, back and Omega signed crown. The inside of the back has the ALD initials and a gold hallmark and is numbered 798523 

For a watch of this age the case and crown are in excellent condition with some very small blemishes which we do not feel detracts from the overall presentation 

Dial, Hands and Glass

The watch has a slightly off white Omega signed dial with a cross from the centre to the quarter hour, gold, baton markers with the 12 o’clock position being a double baton. The other hour markers are also gold but are arrowhead shaped. The hour, minute and seconds hands are gold spear shaped.

The dial, hands and glass are all in excellent condition with some minor marking to the hands visible through a loupe 

Movement

The watch has the Omega signed calibre 420 mechanical hand wind movement with 17 jewels. The movement is numbered 1571**** which dates the movement to 1956 

The movement is running strong and keeping good time but will still be serviced prior to being despatched for additional peace of mind.

Bracelet/Strap

The watch comes on a genuine brown leather Omega strap with a 9k gold pin buckle.

Box and Papers

There are the original papers and box with this watch and it can also be supplied with our exclusive, genuine leather.

A detailed invoice together with a written warranty will be provided at the point of sale.

This really is a stunningly beautiful 1950’s dress watch which we consider to be an excellent example and in superb condition. Its elegant appearance lends itself everyday use and takes no dressing up for any formal occasion. Its 33mm sized case and appearance means it could be used by either a lady or a gentleman.
