A Superb Omega Automatic Date with a Beautiful Monocoque 'Top Loading' Case in 9k Gold, c.1960s

A rather lovely Omega Automatic calendar crafted from 9k gold in beautiful condition. The dial is in beautiful blemish-free condition with applied gold furniture including baton hour markers and ultra-slim pencil hands  - all with onyx inserts. There is a gold-framed date aperture at 3 o'clock and an applied Omega signature at 12. The case is also in nice condition with only minor signs of wear and nothing notable. The case back is engraved with 'tool 106' which refers to the Omega tool to be used when opening the watch - this is a monocoque type case, e.g. there is no removable case back, and entry is through the front. 

The watch is 35mm, so mid-size, but it wears quite large on the wrist whilst remaining lightweight and comfortable. Ideal for everyday wear and more formal occasions, this is a classic Omega with the solid gold case adding a huge touch of opulence - certainly a very nice watch to add to one's collection.
