The Mille Miglia was a high-speed open-road 1000-mile endurance race that started in the year 1927 in Italy. It was organized 24 times from 1927 until 1957 when a tragic accident took the lives of numerous people and the race was abandoned. It was reintroduced in 1982 as the time-trial rally we know today - perhaps the stunning Italian scenery was too tempting to abandon completely. The original watch was introduced to celebrate Chopard's long-standing sponsorship of The Mille Miglia.

This automatic chronograph watch features a stainless steel case with a fixed tachymeter scale bezel and a stainless steel, fluted crown. The black dial is in fantastic condition with luminous hands, Arabic hour markers, and three counters - 60 seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours. There is a date aperture between the 4 and 5 o'clock position. The Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is in fantastic condition. It is paired with its original black rubber strap with a Tang clasp. At a meaty 40mm, this piece is the perfect modern sports luxe watch and looks fantastic on the wrist. An ideal watch for everyday, comfortable and not too heavy, this would make any motor or watch enthusiast very happy! It is n superb preowned condition and is sold with its original box and papers.
