Heir to the original model, the GMT-Master II was unveiled in 1982, with a new movement ensuring ease of use. Its combination of peerless functionality, robustness and instantly recognizable aesthetics has attracted a wider audience of world travellers.  The blue and red bezel is officially known as the BLRO (bleu/rouge) it is more commonly referred to by its “Pepsi” nickname. The Rolex GMT-Master ref. 16700 was in production for a decade until it was discontinued in 1999.

This 1989 Rolex GMT Pepsi is in fantastic condition and boasts a blemish-free dial with applied white gold indexes, the synonymous Mercedes hands and a punch of red on the arrow-tipped 24-hour hand, all encapsulated underneath sapphire crystal. The date window sits at the 3 o’clock position and is magnified by a Cyclops lens. This dial has tritium lume on the hour markers and hands and is marked SWISS T<25 at 6 o'clock. The watch is supplied on the sporty Rolex Oyster bracelet which is in nice condition. The aluminium bezel insert retains its 'Pepsi' colours well, however, there is a slight blemish between 2 and 4, the rest of the watch is in fine shape and benefits from a recent Rolex service just back in 2022 so it is covered by a Rolex warranty until April 2024. This is a watch-only sale, however, we do have a Rolex service card relating to its last service in 2022 and you will see there are still Rolex service stickers applied to the watch as it hasn't been worn since then.
