Rolex Submariner Date Wrist Watch In Oystersteel With Black Cerachrom Bezel and Black Dial.  116610LN. Pre-Owned - 2016.  

Remaining faithful to the original Rolex model from 1953, this gents Submariner with Date, features a unidirectional rotatable black bezel with Cerachrom insert and a solid-link Oystersteel bracelet with folding clasp. 

The Submariner’s rotatable bezel is a key feature of this high-performance diver’s watch, engraved with 60-minute graduations that allow a diver to accurately and safely monitor diving time and decompression stops.

Made by Rolex from Cerachrom, a virtually scratch-proof, corrosion-resistant ceramic, the bezel also has a luminescent capsule on the zero marker to ensure the watch can be easily read in all environments. The edge of the bezel is grooved for excellent grip underwater, even while wearing gloves. 

The black dial of this watch is also designed with divers in mind, featuring a luminescent Chromalight display - an innovation that improves visibility in the dark. Hour markers are in triangles, circles and rectangles and wide hour and minute hands add the overall readability, preventing confusion underwater. 

The Oystersteel bracelet is highly resistant to corrosion, designed to be robust, comfortable and beautiful, with an Oysterlock clasp that prevents accidental opening and an ingenious Glidelock clasp mechanism to allow fine adjustments of the bracelet without any tools. As you would expect, the watch is designed to fit comfortably even over a diver’s suit and is waterproof to 300 metres, with a 48 hour power reserve.

This watch was purchased new in February 2016 Local to us in Ilkley, Yorkshire and is sold with original box and papers, including card, wallet manual, swing tag and seal.

The piece is in mint condition having been only lightly worn and came originally with a 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee, expiring in February 2021. We will also top this up to make it a full 12 months!
