OMEGA CHRONOSTOP DRIVERS WATCH WITH DATE - 146.010 - c.1969

£0.00GBP
Chronostop Driver 146.010

The rarer version of these models! A retro, vintage, Omega Chronostop Drivers Watch model ST146.010 with Cal.920 movement - with date appature - from 1969.

A well used but none the less great example and in original untampered condition, ideal reasonably priced Chronostop for the collector or watch enthusiast with a smaller budget.

The watch case and back have some blemishes/signs of wear, desk diving and the dial has some nice and even patina as you will see from the close up photographs and we hope you will agree this only adds to the overall character of this piece! We could have polished and re-edged the watch case but then we feel this would likely have detracted from the watches character and no doubt value!

Although we have kept the watch case as it came to us and the movement was working well and keeping excellent time as this calibre of watch should, it has just been returned by our workshop after a complete service and light hand clean of the case, so we can be 100% confident when giving it our full 12 months guarantee upon it's sale!

Omega signed crown and Omega signed glass. This is a stunning 1960's Omega watch ready for any collector or to use as an everyday watch.

The watch is priced to sell and we believe it to be very reasonably priced for a drivers model with date!

Be quick as we don't think this will be around long judging by the interest we always have in these particular models. We also have a normal version (none driver) with no date that is also for sale. Please enquire if you don't see it on the site yet!

As always we will consider your watch or watch related items in part exchange, please contact us.

Omega marketed this version as the "DRIVER" model. Please note, ...DRIVER not DIVER . With 12 o'clock being where 3 o'clock normally is, it was designed to be worn "under" the wrist, instead of in the normal position "above" the wrist. The thinking was that whilst driving (with your hands in the "quarter to two" position), you could read the time, without removing your hands from the steering wheel.

These watches appear to have been available with a wide variety of dial & strap colours this one having the gunmetal grey dial and black (none original) leather band or if you prefer we can put the watch on an un-branded Milanese mesh style steel bracelet, please let us know when you check out.
