Bremont - Chronograph GMT - Ref: ALT1-ZT/51 - First Sold New April 2017 - With Box and Paperwork
Here we have a Bremont ALT1-ZT/51 Chronograph Chronometer with a GMT Hand. A 43mm case with original Bremont leather strap and pin buckle that all, barely show any signs of wear! The watch comes complete with its original box, pouch and paperwork showing it to have been sold originally in 2017.
Bremont was founded by brothers Nick and Giles English. The brothers had gained mechanical experience from their father Dr Euan English. This evolved from clock assembly, aeroplane- and yacht construction. On 4 March 1995 Euan English was killed and Nick was badly injured when their World War II-vintage Harvard aircraft crashed during a training flight for an air show. The crash spurred the brothers to create their own watch company. Immensely precise to chronometer standards, reliable and durable, Bremont watches are designed manufactured and assembled in England in limited numbers.

The model on offer here, an ALT1-ZT/51 is a high precision piece of equipment. The hardened three piece (Trip-Tick®), stainless steel, scratch resistant case, reinforces Bremont’s emphasis on creating watches fit for the toughest of environments but also retaining the precision measurement of time. The mid case (barrel) being DLC treated also being a recognisable trademark of the maker, Bremont.
Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, chronograph and a 24 hour GMT hand. The watch is also water resistant upto 100 meters with a domed sapphire crystal with a metal super luminova dial. The dial is highly attractive with the 'up-down' panda style design with the silver subdials. A nice warmth to the lume which creates a heritage type vibe to a more modern watch, no easy feat and with the pushers and crowns neatly tucking tight to the case to avoid any snags during operation of the watches functions, an altogether well thought out and designed watch.
Naturally for the age of the watch and materials it is built from, condition is rather nice. Dated 12/04/2017, the watch comes complete with box and papers as you would expect from new. The strap is a delight and matches the watch perfectly and inside the case beats a modified in house 13 ¼ BE-54AE automatic chronometer calibre with a 42 hour power reserve featuring a really cool decorated rotor.
