The TAG Heuer Formula 1 debuted in 1986, shortly after Techniques d’Avant Garde acquired Heuer, finally becoming TAG Heuer. Techniques d’Avant Garde (now you know where “TAG” comes from) was a leading manufacturer of high-tech aviation and race car components, like ceramic turbochargers for Formula One cars. In a decision that would define the brand for decades to come, TAG Heuer chose to nourish that relationship with watches like Formula 1 and various motorsport partnerships.

We love TAG and this is a great example of what they do best - sports luxe watches with bags of panache at an affordable price. This watch is a limited edition with a black carbon dial, number 720 out of only 2500 making it really desirable, it is sold with its box and papers and is in fantastic preowned condition. The (carbon fibre)  textured dial is rich black and serves as the perfect platform for the ultra oversized quarter Arabics and chunky white accents. Chunky luminous pencil hands and a blood-red needle hand complete the dial and give it its sporty aesthetic. The bracelet is also in really superb shape with barely any signs of wear - a really cracking piece of kit that wears very well on the wrist with its meaty 41mm diameter. You can't go wrong with TAG for both form and functionality.
