Nero Lemania Split Seconds Military Chronograph Stopwatch

A very collectable split second, British Military, issued Nero Lemania, pocket stopwatch. It has a chrome case which is marked on the back with the broad arrow and “Patt 4 3085/GG/68”. The case opens and closes nicely. The case remains in it's original and unmolested condition.

The watch markings suggest it was produced c.1968, and the stopwatch is in absolutely fantastic condition for its age with only the slightest signs of use and no wear to the chrome case at all.

The almost, perfect white dial with painted black Arabic 5 second numerals, minutes counter at 12, subsidiary seconds at 6, blued and red central chronograph hands, and blued sub seconds and minute register hands. The crystal is in original condition but shows light scratches from general use, although nothing a quick polish wouldn’t remove.

We believe it features the Lemania 1900 calibre (Lemania 19N20 base) movement, which is rhodium-plated, 7 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance. With start/stop activation via the crown with a plastic capped split second button to the band.

The stopwatch seems to run well without any issues and stops, starts and zeros as it should but it has not been serviced, but this can be done at additional cost should you wish.
