Classic Certina DS-2 Divers Certronic with Calibre 29-152 Tuning Fork Movement and lovely Gradient Dial

Certina S.A. was founded in 1888 when Adolf and Alfred Kurth opened in Grenchen their first movement and supplies factory for the watchmaking industry. At the start Certina's staff consisted of three employees working in a workshop that was connected to the family home.

Here is a cool Vintage Certina DS-2  Divers watch boasting an electronic tuning fork movement dating from 1971-1976. The first striking thing is the worn gradient dial giving this watch a unique characteristic. You can also see factors of red in the second hand and logo which adds a nice pop of colour. This watch also has a day/date function as well as lume integrated chrome hour markers for easy reading.

The Stainless Case sits at 43mm a completely normal size for a divers watch. Visible signs of wear can be found on the case and bracelet but this only normal for a watch of this purpose.

Powering this beauty is the ESA base 9210 “Mosaba” Calibre 29-152 movement which provides a quickset day & date function.
