In 1967 the De Ville dropped Seamaster from its name and became a line in its own right. It may not be as famous as the Speedmaster or Seamaster, however, the collection is expansive and boasts variations fitted with Omega's finest movements. World-renowned for its refined aesthetics and elegant lines, the De Ville line remains a popular and distinguished member of the Omega family. 

What’s On Offer 

The De Ville Chronograph was released in 1968, and Omega only produced 10,000 of these pieces – compared to the 300,000 watches with the Caliber 861 – making the Reference 145.017 quite rare indeed.

This example boasts a striking white dial with subtle dished subdials, applied polished metal baton hour markers, and graceful sword hands with tritium inserts. The outer tracking and signature punch out in black and have aged well.  This watch offers all the style and finesses one would expect from a De Ville, yet with the added chronograph function it seamlessly transcends from a sophisticated dress watch to an understated sports watch. The chronograph can be both started and stopped by the upper pusher and reset via the lower pusher. 

The dial and case are in superb condition and the watch is running well and keeping good time, having recently had a service by our master watchmaker, so running to within a few seconds per day! There are signs of slight wear but nothing notable or of any major concern. The Swiss Made signature has given way to a little fading as has a small portion of the outer track, however, this is still a beautiful watch with a rare reference that would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
