A Fantastic WW2 Cyma Dirty Dozen Military Issued Watch in Original Condition with Original Military Engravings - c.1944

In the closing years of World War II, a basic but carefully specified model wristwatch was commissioned to members of the British armed forces by the Ministry of Defence - one of twelve watchmakers chosen to manufacture them, Cyma delivered 20,000 of these watches to the MoD in 1944 and 1945. The twelve watches later became known as the Dirty Dozen.

What's on Offer

The Cyma is the largest of the Dirty Dozen family and wears really well on the wrist. This example is in fairly nice shape given its age although it does bear some wear to the crystal - this could be replaced with a new old stock crystal fairly easily by our watchmaker, however, we have kept it in original condition. The rest of the watch is in good shape with a nice dial boasting its original lume which has aged to a nice toffee colour. The dial bears the synonymous Arabic numerals, sub seconds dial and the military arrow which denotes it as property of the crown. The caseback bears the original military markings which read www P22701 27701 and also the military pheon (arrow) is present again. This is a chance to own a meaningful piece of British military history in the form of a fantastic tool watch which is still very much wearable and looks great.
