Building on their esteemed reputation amongst pilots, Breitling originally designed the Colt to be supplied to the armed forces in the 1980s. They specified a robust, legible and highly accurate watch to be Chronometer-accurate in an initially relatively affordable package. It quickly became a cult favourite and production boomed until the 2000s, when it saw its manufacture updated to cutting edge standards in 2006 in the form of the Colt II, featuring an automatic movement. The rotating bezel and the chapter and tracking rings, designed to allow for distance and speed calculations on the fly, making for a sparser dial than many pilot's watches, ideal for an everyday wear. The sapphire crystal prevents glare, and the watch is protected from the depths of the ocean too thanks to its screw-down crown and sturdy construction. The white dial features concentric rings which catch the light beautifully, and features a date eye at 3:00.

What's on offer

This Breitling Colt Automatic II comes with its original box and paperwork but is missing the inner leather travel case. Paperwork dates the watch to February 2007, making this one of the earliest production pieces of the updated Colt II. Retaining its original shop bezel protector, the watch has hardly been touched since its purchase, and is in like-new condition. The watch keeps excellent time, powered by a COSC-Chronometer certified Calibre 17 Breitling movement, based in turn on the renowned 2824-2. It will come with a custom VWS leather presentation pouch as well as the original boxes and is guaranteed for 12-months by us.
