WWW Buren Military 'Dirty Dozen' Watch - c.1945 WW2 Issue

£995.00GBP
vws1034

Rare c.1945 Buren WWW ‘Dirty Dozen’ British WWII military watch.

Finely preserved example of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ collection, produced c.1944-45 for the British military serving across Europe during WWII. This Buren’s dial has aged just as you’d want: a deep, tropical patinated tone to the luminous hour plots, an evenly creaminess to the original Arabic numerals and a subtly speckled set of sword hands. This collectable masterpiece hasn’t just survived the test of time; it’s thrived through it.

Beautiful, fully original dial. Sub-second register at 6 o’clock which is textured by light radial brushing which still looks mint. As would be expected, there is light wear around the bezel when viewed up close, which adds to the military feel to this WWII timepiece. The wear is very minor, and does not extend to lug or case edges, which are still very sharp and crisp.
