Omega Geneve Automatic - Model Ref: 166.098 - c.1971
A Superb Omega Geneve Automatic with a Beautiful Silver Dial, Model Ref: 166.098, Dated to Approximately 1971.
Omega first began applying "Genève" to the dials of their dressier 30mm watches in 1953. This was in honour of their 30mm calibre that set records at the Geneva Observatory and by 1967 the name began to be applied to models throughout Omega's range.
What’s On Offer
This Omega Geneve is in remarkably good condition with a beautifully preserved silver dial. The dial boasts applied baton hour markers with Oynx inserts and corresponding pencil hands that also have Oynx inserts. A black needle central seconds hand glides around the dial past a date aperture at the 3 o'clock position and the Omega signature at 12. The dial is encapsulated under Plexiglas and encased in stainless steel with an Omega-signed crown. The case and lugs are also in fantastic condition with very few light signs of wear. The stretch steel bracelet looks well but can be changed if you would prefer a nice leather strap. A very nice vintage Omega dress watch in superb condition, brimming with charm and ready to wear!
