CWC, A 1994 Issued, Royal Marines Dive Watch with a Low Issue Number, 253/94, and Correct Caseback Engravings for the British RM- 0555/6645-99 7573314 with Broad Arrow, Housing the Workhorse, ETA 955 111 Movement Supplied to Cabot Watch Co by the Omega/Swatch Group.

Cabot Watch Co or CWC as they are branded, has manufactured pilots' chronographs, Royal Navy and Special Forces divers' watches together with many thousands of NATO general service timepieces to all branches of the Armed Forces since the company was founded in 1972. They still supply watches to the Special Forces units today according to their website!

What’s On Offer

Here we have a fantastic Royal Marines, issued British Military CWC dive watch from 1994. The statement rotating outer black bezel showcases the depth of the black dial which in turn allows the Tritium hour markers to pop with their attractive vanilla patina. The 'statement' big triangle marker at 12 o'clock and chunky lumed hour markers give the dial a really contemporary look.

The case shows slight signs of wear as does the unidirectional bezel as one can expect to see on any military-issued watch. The fixed lugs are perfectly straight and the screw-down crown secures tightly.

Case back is engraved with the Royal Marines issue number 0555/6645-99 7573314 together with the British Government ‘broad arrow’ property symbol and the watch issue number and year.

Overall a great 'tool' watch, which was recently serviced and a new battery fitted by John Senior the renowned military watchmaker. The watch appears unpolished and with some pleasing signs of use, a great everyday wearer or to add to any existing collection. These watches are becoming much more collectable as the earlier variants with mechanical movements get harder to find and the prices of both this and indeed the mechanical versions continue to rise, so be quick before it's too late!
