Vintage Selhor 71 Automatic Divers with Lovely Red Accents

This late 1960’s possibly early 1970’s sports divers watch with a signed Selhor “71” is in stunning original condition with its explorer style dial with Arabic numeral quarter hours markers at 6, 9 and 12, with date aperture at 3. The watch is housed in a stainless steel case with screw in back, unsigned crown and stainless steel bi-directional bezel with engraved markings in a combination of dots, batons and Arabic numerals at 10, 20, 40 and 50. An inverted triangle at 12 o’clock on the bezel still retains most of its tritium inlay as do the dial markers and fabulous stick hands, together with a fabulous red central second hand with a rectangular tip with original lume infill.

The black signed dial shows no marks or blemishes and is signed “Automatic Incabloc” and at 6 o'clock is also signed “Ebauche Suisse”.There is a fantastic chaptering marking the seconds on the dial which is patterned like a chequered flag in black and white with the first quarter hour highlighted with red accents giving it a superb sporting look.

The date aperture has alternating red and black roulette wheel style numbering. Overall the case, crown dial and hands are in excellent condition with only minimal signs of use. The automatic movement is numbered, a calibre 2472, which is an ETA movement.

The watch is running well and keeping good time and will come with a 3-month warranty for your peace of mind. The case back is marked "All Stainless Steel - 100% Waterproof - Tested 20 ATM -  Antimagnetic". The case back is also marked with a serial number "32249". We have fitted the watch with a brand new black rubber divers strap with a steel pin buckle and red stitching to complement the red dial accents.
